Walnut Meat Sauce

Ingredients (2-3 serves)

  • 1 1/2cup walnuts
  • Mushroom 100g
  • 1 middle size onion, 1/4-inch diced
  • Celery 100g, 1/4-inch diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced Garlic
  • Marinara Sauce 500ml
  • Fresh Basil(optional)
  • Parmesan cheese(optional)
  • Pasta

Preparation

  1. Put walnut and mushroom into a food processor until it become fairly finely chopped, not over processed.

  2. Cook pasta in boiling water according to the package directions.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add onion and garlic until onions are golden. Add walnut mixture and cook around 5 minutes, Add celery cook 3 minutes.

  4. Add marinara sauce into the skillet and bring to simmer on low heat. Cover for 5 minutes more.

  5. Drain pasta and place in a bowl. Add hot pasta sauce. Serve parmesan and basil if you like.
